Potluck Party
Party planning made simple.
Potluck Party is a platform for creating and attending events with a specific focus on potluck style parties where guests provide their own catering.
My role was to head up the design effort, from the initial planning and early stages of development I was involved in helping make key design decisions on the overall app experience.
This included designing the user experience and building a branded design system that could be used to scale and expand upon the app.
Social features were a key part of the experience of planning an event in a natural, informal way whilst still providing all the details and features necessary to plan an event.
Every event is unique. Being able to make your event your own complete with it's our page and every option you need to customise it to match the hosts aesthetic or personality was key to the overall design.
Without menu popups, modals or other visual clutter, everything is done on your events page.
